The Hubble House Telescope’s Vast Area Digicam three captured this razor-sharp picture of Saturn on 20 June because the ringed planet made its closest method to Earth in 2019 at a distance of 1.36 billion kilometres (845 million miles). The picture reveals quite a few ringlets and the faint inside areas of the huge ring system and the hexagon-shaped construction on the planet’s north pole. An enormous storm within the north polar area that was seen final yr has disappeared. This picture is the second in an annual collection of photographs taken as a part of the Outer Planets Atmospheres Legacy – OPAL – venture.
